Broomhouse Kids Xmas Party 2014

Apologies for the delay but we have been very busy so have just been able to upload the pictures and videos from the recent Kids Xmas Party 2014.

The day was a resounding success and we’d like to thank all of the children and parents who came along.

We’d also like to especially thank the Mailcoach who hosted our party and provided the function room free or charge and Pat Doogan who provided the wonderful entertainment on the day.

We’d also like to thank our members and office bearers who gave up their free time to organise the event.

Apologies to all of those families who didn’t get a place on the day but due to health and safety reasons our numbers are limited.

We are already planning next years events and it’s been suggested that we may have two parties to cater for the high demand.

We wish all of our residents a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !

Greenoakhill Community Woodland Proposal

We’ve been contacted by Forestry Commission Consultants, Golley Slater.

Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) is conducting a community consultation exercise regarding the potential development of large landfill site and old quarry in your area into community woodland for recreational and educational use. We will refer to it as Greenoakhill Community Woodland.
You may already have heard of the site and know it as Paterson’s landfill site or simply ‘the coup’.
Forestry Commission Scotland are very keen to understand how interested the local communities around the site would be in seeing it developed and to understand if it would be used and valued by the community. The development of the whole site will happen in phases over the next ten years, with Phase 1 and 2 shown below being completed first.
We are very interested in hearing what you think about the development of this site and we would be most grateful if you could take a few minutes to fill in this simple and quick questionnaire – it should only take you a few minutes. If you feel you cannot fill in some questions, please just do what you can, all responses are useful.

Please fill in this questionnaire and give your opinion on the development of Greenoakhill Community Woodland
